The general image of Kyoto Prefecture is that of a tourist city with temples and shrines,
but this is a bit different when it comes to Michinoeki(s).
There are 18 Michinoeki(s) in Kyoto Prefecture, but they are all located in rural areas with relatively few tourists,
and are not suitable for use as bases for visiting temples and shrines.
On the other hand, by touring the Michinoeki(s) in the prefecture,
visitors can discover new attractions of Kyoto that are not generally known to the general public.
We would like to recommend is "01-Funaya no Sato Ine", located in the northern part of the prefecture.
The view of 230 rows of Funaya(s) over Ine Bay is unique to Japan.
The Kaisen-don (seafood bowl) served at restaurants also will be surely satisfy you.
As for specialties, tanbakuro(black soybeans) and barazushi are Kyoto's specialties.
These products can be purchased at many Michinoeki(s) in the prefecture.
